Sunrise Surprise: A Beach Proposal That Felt Like Home

Some moments stay with you forever, and this sunrise proposal was definitely one of them. ✨

K reached out to me with a plan: he wanted to propose to his girlfriend at sunrise on the beach. As soon as we started talking, I could tell this was going to be something special. We mapped it all out together, from deciding what time of day would be best on Jones Beach to the little cues that would help it all go smoothly without giving anything away.

The morning of the proposal, the sky lit up with soft pinks and oranges, casting the most magical glow over the sand. As the waves rolled in and the lighting was perfect, K dropped to one knee, and her reaction was everything. Pure joy. Pure love. The kind of raw emotion I live for capturing.

What made this even more meaningful was how natural it felt being there with them. From the very beginning, they treated me like a friend, not just a photographer. Being trusted to document one of the most important moments in their lives was an honor I’ll never take for granted.
