A double surprise!

This shoot had been on the calendar for a while, and after having to reschedule a few times thanks to unpredictable weather, we finally got the perfect evening. S + K were coming out for what she believed was just a sweet pregnancy announcement session. Little did she know, it was about to become one of the most unforgettable moments of her life.

Right before we began, Steph stepped away for a quick bathroom break. As I was setting up, her boyfriend came over to me, looking a little nervous, and then he pulled a ring box out of his pocket.

He told me he had been trying to find my socials ahead of time to give me a heads-up, but couldn’t. So, we planned everything on the fly. I gave him a quick game plan to make sure it stayed a surprise. and honestly, it worked perfectly.

We started the session as planned: lots of joy, excitement, and love as S + K celebrated the beautiful news of their growing family. Then, at just the right moment, he got down on one knee.

Her reaction? Pure magic. Total shock, and the kind of genuine joy you feel just by being in the moment.

What was supposed to be a pregnancy announcement shoot turned into a double celebration — new life and new beginnings all wrapped into one beautiful evening.
