When Plans Change: How a Rainy Day Turned A Photoshoot Dream Come True
Prom day. It’s supposed to be picture perfect especially for the teens who have been counting down the days, planning their outfits, and dreaming of capturing every moment. Our original plan was to shoot prom portraits at a beautiful local park. Nature, flowers, sunshine. it was all going to be stunning.
And then the rain came.
At first, it felt like the entire shoot might be washed away. But instead of canceling or rescheduling, we pivoted. With a little quick thinking and a lot of heart, we found ourselves in one of the most unexpected (and epic)locations: Long Island Sports Cars, a luxury supercar dealership.
And let me tell you… the rain might’ve taken the park away, but it gave us something even better.
Imagine walking into a showroom full of Lamborghinis, McLarens, and Aston Martins… in your prom attire. The smiles were bigger. The excitement was real. The reflections of gowns and tuxes on sleek hoods, the drama of the lighting, the bold colors of the cars. it all came together to create prom photos that were completely one of a kind.
This shoot turned out to be a perfect reminder that sometimes when things don't go as planned, they turn out even better. All it takes is a little flexibility, a lot of creativity, and the right people who are willing to roll with the punches, and strike a pose in front of a $300,000 car.
